Seven members of The Bloomsbury SET’s Advisory Council met in the comfortable surroundings of the British Library on 13 November, to discuss the future direction and achievements of the Knowledge Exchange programme. Dr Peter van der Graaf, of the Centre for Translational Research in Public Health, is an experienced KE broker and researches into policy and practice. Peter has written a reflective piece on that meeting and some of the common problems and opportunities in turning research into practice or product, across the sciences and social sciences alike. You can read his FUSE open science blog at Bridging the research industry ‘Valley of Death’.
Many thanks to all the Advisory Council members for taking part and providing valuable insight at this critical stage of the programme.Back
